Welcome to LA City FCA

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes engages coaches and athletes to grow in their faith and sport.

Get In Touch

Welcome to LA City FCA. LA City stretches from Santa Monica area down to Long Beach, from Palos Verdes to Boyle Heights. We currently have 66 huddles on 62 different campuses and are continuing to grow. Our goal in LA and all of FCA is to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. We strive to show the love of Jesus Christ not only through our words, but also through our actions. Please contact us for any additional information, or to share your prayer requests.

John 13:35 “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Coach of the Month

Jade Hayes

Club Volleyball Coach

Jade moved to the South Bay almost a year ago and has made a large impact since she got there. Originally from Missouri, she played indoor volleyball at the University of Missouri and at the University of Central Florida before playing a fifth year of beach volleyball at the University of South Carolina. She's played for the USA High Performance team in the past and has undoubtedly touched the lives of those she has played alongside with.

Jade is currently playing beach volleyball professionally while coaching as well. In the past few months, she has started coaching through a business she calls "Pure Joy Fitness." She "chooses joy" in all that she does, even when she has a matter in question. Her passion is for coaching and playing volleyball, and it is so apparent through what she does. She so joyfully coaches a wide range of people-young kids to teenagers to adults. No matter who she is coaching, she is never afraid to talk about the Lord and to tell her clients the joy she finds in Him. She prays with, encourages, leads, and gives great instruction as she coaches! Jade is a shining example of a woman of God and someone who is bold enough to follow God's plan for her life, no matter what He may call her to do and how uncomfortable she may be. The South Bay would be blessed to have many more coaches like her!
