We currently have 66 huddles on 62 different campuses and are continuing to grow. Our goal in LA and all of FCA is to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. We strive to show the love of Jesus Christ not only through our words, but also through our actions. Please contact us for any additional information, or to share your prayer requests.

John 13:35 “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Coach of the Month

Seth McKenna

El Segundo High School

College Graduated: Life Pacific College

Sports: Football / Baseball

Background: I was born and raised in El Segundo. Sports played a huge roll in the development of who I am today and has influenced how I lead as a Youth Pastor now. I was blessed to be a First Team All League receiver and safety for football in my high school years, and was humbled when the opportunity was extended from various offers to continue on playing either football or baseball into my college years. After intensively seeking the Lord, I instead ended up choosing to go to Bible College and pursue my other passions in the music industry. The door for athletics did not close completely, but shifted into coaching back in El Segundo where I currently have involvement in both the football and baseball programs.

Family info: My dad Rob McKenna is the lead Pastor of The Bridge church in El Segundo where I currently Youth Pastor. My mom Cathy McKenna works in the TV Entertainment Industry. I have and older sister Jordan (25) who is a 3rd grade teacher currently in Hawthorn, and a little brother Jared (18) who is a senior at El Segundo High.

FCA Ties: I was the president of our FCA huddle for 3 years in High School and am blown away at how God has brought me full circle to be the covering Pastor of this same huddle 4 years later.

Denaylan Fuimaono

Carson High School

Sports: Football, Rugby, and Volleyball

Graduating class of 2018

Accepted into San Diego State University

-Sports played growing up: I played football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball growing up & when I got to high school I just stuck with football & volleyball and then this year I played rugby for my first year ever.

-Favorite moment on the field: when I scored on senior night against our cross town rivals banning, and seeing all my family in the stands all hyped up & cheering.

-Why are you involved in FCA?: I’m involved in FCA because it’s something I tried to start up at my old school that didn’t workout, with the lack of participation. It’s something I always wanted to be apart of, I feel like this is one of the many ways God is using me to spread his word... through sports!

Favorite Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6 ~ Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
-Most Influential Person in my life: It would be my dad

Daily Bible Verse

  • Act 20:24 But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
